Curated Rest

Restoration cannot be rushed or forced into a rigid box. These offerings are designed to be intentional, provided in a way that respects the natural rhythm of both the guide and the practitioner.

Group Sessions

These are pre-arranged, intimate gatherings in several Grosse Pointe locations. Because I value quality over frequency, these sessions are announced as they are scheduled.

In these small-group settings, we utilize collective resonance to deepen the restorative experience. Each curated session is designed to down-regulate the nervous system through a systematic rotation of consciousness, allowing you to move beyond the daily noise and into a state of profound mental and physical clarity.

Private 1:1 Sessions

A bespoke practice tailored to your specific needs. Available by appointment, these sessions allow us to focus on your personal Sankalpa, or intention, and your deep physiological recovery.

Private sessions provide the luxury of time and a personalized blueprint for your rest. We work together to address your unique stressors, using specific Yoga Nidra techniques to enhance neuroplasticity and facilitate a deeper biological reset than is typically possible in a group environment.

Your First Journey Into Stillness

If you have never practiced Yoga Nidra, you might be surprised by how little is required of you. There are no poses, no sweat, and no flexibility needed. Here is how we move from the noise of the day into the "Deep Rest" state:

The Arrival and Consultation

We begin with a few minutes of quiet conversation. We’ll discuss any physical discomforts or specific areas of stress you’d like to address. This ensures your session is tailored to your nervous system's needs.

Building Your "Nest"

Comfort is our primary objective. You will lie on a mat, supported by bolsters under your knees, a pillow for your neck, and a soft eye cover if you wish. We take the time to ensure you feel completely supported by the earth beneath you.

The Guided Practice

Once you are settled, all you have to do is listen. I will guide you through a systematic process of physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. You may drift between sleep and wakefulness; this "twilight state" is where the deepest healing and neuroplasticity occur.

The Gentle Return

As the session concludes, I will slowly guide your awareness back to the room. We don't rush this transition. You’ll have a few minutes to sit quietly and ground yourself before you head back into the world, feeling a profound sense of "Radical Stillness."

Medical Considerations?

If you are unsure of anything, you can also review our Medical Considerations page

  • Not at all. Despite the name, this is a passive practice. You will not perform any physical poses or stretches. If you can lie down on a mat, you can practice Yoga Nidra.

  • Comfort is the priority. We recommend wearing soft, loose-fitting layers and warm socks. Because your heart rate slows and your body temperature naturally drops during deep rest, staying warm is essential for staying in the practice.

  • Falling asleep is completely fine and quite common. Even if you’re not actively listening, your nervous system is still benefiting from the physiological down-regulation and brain wave shifts.

  • While apps are great tools, our sessions offer a controlled, private environment free from domestic distractions. Sessions can be tailored to your current stress levels and physiological needs. Group sessions provide a level of depth and "Collective Resonance" that a recording cannot replicate.

  • Yes. We specialize in creating a "nest" that supports your specific physical needs. For those who cannot lie flat, we use specialized props for side-lying or elevated support. Please mention any physical considerations during your initial consultation.
