Medical Considerations

The Deep Rest Practice and the practice of Yoga Nidra are intended for relaxation and stress reduction. While these practices offer significant benefits for nervous system regulation, they are not a substitute for professional medical or psychological care.

Important Notes:

  • If you have a history of severe trauma, PTSD, or clinical depression, please consult with your healthcare provider before beginning a deep rest practice.

  • Participation is at your own discretion. If at any point during a session you feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable, you are encouraged to gently open your eyes and return to the room.

  • We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical conditions.

Physical Comfort and Considerations

Because you will be lying still for 35 to 45 minutes, we want to ensure your body is fully supported.

  • Pregnancy: If you are in your second or third trimester, we will provide extra bolsters and side-lying support to ensure you and your baby are safe and comfortable.

  • Back or Neck Issues: We have specialized props to alleviate pressure on the spine. Please let us know if you have any chronic pain before we begin your session.

  • Epilepsy: If your session includes audio with binaural beats or specific low-frequency soundscapes, please inform us if you have a history of seizures triggered by sound or light.

The Deep Rest Practice and Jackie’s Yoga Nidra are intended for relaxation and stress management and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
